METAMORPHOSIS is inspired by one of my favorite artists, Joan Miró, who expressed personal things about his world through his paintings, not in a conventional way, but by creating his own language.
Completely connected with this way of working and inspired by Miró’s creativity, I combined his universe with mine.
Miró’s work gives me a great feeling of freedom, since it is perfectly imperfect and at the same time playful but a little bold. In this collection, I experimented with different denim textures such as ruffles, embroidery, geometric shapes, paint and recycled materials.
I also explored the placement of white on dark denim, contrasting clean silhouettes and free hand embroidery with some worn textures or unfinished parts to give a minimalist but daring sensation at the same time.
As Joan Miró would say, “The painting rises from the brushstrokes as a poem rises from the words. The meaning comes later. “
